INTERNORGA 2023 - HAMBURG
The company, at the fair with two brand-new collections and as many range extensions, announces the success of two decarbonisation projects proposed to the Innovation Fund Small-Scale tender
Parma, 10th March 2023 - From 10th to 14th March, Bormioli Luigi will be present at Internorga, the trade fair dedicated to the hospitality and catering industry taking place in Hamburg: an occasion to present interesting new products,
The main ones are represented by the debut of two new collections: Vinalia, branded Accademia Luigi Bormioli, and Bartender Birra, branded Bormioli Rocco. For both brands there are also extensions of successful lines already in the catalogue.
In the Vinalia Accademia Luigi Bormioli collection, the distant past lives again in a more refined and contemporary form than ever before: in fact, it is inspired by the festivals used in ancient Rome to taste wines (Degustandis Vinis Institute). The range includes seven different glasses for Barolo, Brunello di Montalcino, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Prosecco, Champagne and Cognac/Rum. Characterised by an essential design and bowls with gently squared lines, they are all proposed as true tasting instruments, made using craft-inspired techniques. Super-light and well-balanced, they enhance all the aromatic notes of the different styles of wine while depressing the alcohol component. And that's not all: during tasting, the wine is appropriately directed towards the most sensitive taste buds, so that taste perception is unparalleled. The stemglasses are made of lead-free SON.Hyx® superior sound glass; the stems have undergone the Titanium Reinforced® treatment, which gives them strength, brilliance and resistance to washing.
We find these two peculiarities also in the new glasses that represent the extension of one of Luigi Bormioli's most appreciated lines, the Jazz collection, and that make their debut in Hamburg: the models designed for Spritz, Negroni and Rum Cocktails, which wink at three "trendy classics". Super-light and united by an ultra-thin rim (0.95 mm), but at the same time robust and flexible, they stand out for their unmistakable wide facets that give a vintage look, evocative of 'Great Gatsby' style atmospheres, to the entire collection, now composed of seven models: the Cocktail and Flûte glasses and the Long Drink and Rocks Whisky glasses complete the collection. The large diameter at the drinking point makes them ideal for the preparation of "effect" cocktails; the brilliance and transparency of the SON.Hyx® glass keeps the colour of the contents unaltered and brilliant.
As far as the Bormioli Rocco brand is concerned, the new Bartender Birra collection presented at Internorga aims at enriching the barware offer dedicated to this beverage with the objective of meeting an ever increasing demand, which sees craft beer in the foreground. The three stemglasses 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 (28, 40.5 and 52 cl) that make up the line, designed for ales whose transparency they enhance, leaving room for abundant foam, are made of perfectly transparent and exceptionally shiny Star Glass. Distinguished by an elongated conical cup resting on a stem embellished with a faceted decoration, they ensure maximum tasting pleasure thanks to their thin edges and laser-cut precision.
Like the new Bartender Beer collection, the extension of Bormioli Rocco's vast America '20s - Speakeasy Specific Blown Barware line, inspired by the 1920s American Prohibition era, also rides on a trend in vogue. Precious and exclusive, the collection is inspired by the preciousness of the diamond and is distinguished by the elegance of the internal optics. The three new Sling Cocktail Glasses 200, 300 and 400 have been created for the service of the popular Sling Cocktails, imaginative and rich combinations of ingredients, making them an ideal choice for the presentation of surprising drinks garnished with fruit or added ice. These glasses are also made of Star Glass, which is exceptionally bright, transparent and resistant to breakage and industrial washing.
Finally, the Internorga fair represents for Bormioli Luigi a valuable opportunity to officially announce the successful outcome of two project proposals submitted to the Innovation Fund Small-Scale call for proposals, to date one of the largest and most relevant funding programmes for decarbonisation at global level.
Bormioli Luigi was the only Italian company to win out of a total of only 17 projects awarded grants against 66 projects submitted.
The success of both project proposals, which involve the Abbiategrasso and Fidenza production sites, not only represents an important opportunity for economic contribution, but also affirms the Company as an undisputed protagonist of decarbonisation in the glass sector not only on a national, but also on a European level: the RePowerEU plan.
