BORMIOLI LUIGI PARTNERS WITH SLOW WINE FAIR, RAISING GLASSES TO NATIVE GRAPE VARIETIES

The first Slow Food event of 2024 will be at BolognaFiere Feb. 25-27

The Parma-based glassmaker, a partner of the fair, presents in Bologna its most innovative collections that enhance good, clean and fair wine

Milan, Feb. 12, 2024 - Getting to know native wines means enhancing the history, tradition and biodiversity of a product that is a symbol of Italianness. With the same attention to Made in Italy, the collaboration between Bormioli Luigi, an important and well-established industrial reality of glass in our country, and Slow Wine Fair, the international fair dedicated to good, clean and fair wine, which will be held at Bologna Fiere from February 25 to 27, 2024, is born.

Bormioli Luigi S.p.A., a Parma-based company renowned for the quality of its glass production, will be present at the event both as an exhibitor, bringing its selected excellences to an exhibition stand (Pavilion 20 SP3 Slow Wine Fair), and as in Kind - Partner with stemware and glasses for master classes.

A showcase with the company's flagship products.
At Slow Wine Fair, the Bormioli booth will showcase some of the company's flagship products. On display under the brand name Accademia Luigi Bormioli Italy: the Supremo stemware with an elegant and innovative design and unique sensory performance, developed in collaboration with the Centro Studi Assaggiatori; the Vinalia stemware, which enhances all the aromatic notes of different wine styles by directing them to the most sensitive taste buds.

Flanking these collections are I Meravigliosi and Vinea, two cornerstones for wine tasting. Made with technology that echoes artisanal techniques, the I Meravigliosi Accademia Luigi Bormioli Italy range, with flat bottoms, ensures high wine aeration (Decanter effect), guaranteeing a perfect balance between taste components.

Vinea stemware designed so that the contained wine releases all the sensory and organoleptic characteristics of the main native grape varieties, which are given special focus at Slow Wine Fair. Another collection designed for tastings is Inalto Tre Sensi, a Bormioli Rocco brand that guarantees the right glass for serving still red, white and rosé wines.

Four tasting moments at the Bormioli stand
During the three days, the booth will host four tasting moments in collaboration with Vigneron Wine, a Wine Bank partner divided as follows:
- 3 wine tastings with the Chianti/Pinot Grigio goblet from the Supremo line;
- 1 champagne tasting with the glass from the I Meravigliosi collection.

Masterclasses starring Inalto Tre Sensi Medium glasses.
At the tasting counters of the exhibition, wine lovers and professionals will be able to participate in Masterclasses, aimed at exploring the Italian and international wine scene. Protagonists of these moments will be Bormioli Rocco-branded Inalto Tre Sensi Medium stemware.

Developed in collaboration with the Italian Sommelier Association (AIS), Inalto Tre Sensi Medium is characterized by its linear and homogeneous (drinking) edges, ideal for a professional and guided tasting such as the one that will take place at Slow Wine Fair. Inalto Tre Sensi Medium glasses will allow the products of a viticulture that performs as little intervention as possible in the vineyard and cellar, providing the starting point for meetings and talks with producers.

During Slow Wine Fair, organized by Slow Food, BolognaFiere and the Salone Internazionale del Biologico e del Naturale (Sana), about 1,000 exhibitors will present more than 5,000 labels, sharing their way of making wine with a special focus on organic and biodynamic wineries.

Spirits tastings with the Bartender line.
There will also be a space for Spirits and Bitters, again in collaboration with Bormioli.

The Parma-based company has selected a wide selection of glasses that will make the experience of tasting grappa and spirits guided by experts in the field unique. The products chosen are: Stone DOF, Este DOF, Lounge DOF and Novecento DOF from the Bartender collection by Bormioli Rocco, with specific shapes and capacities for the presentation of the drinks that will be prepared.
Finally, at Slow Wine Fair, alongside spirits and bitters, space will be given to gastronomic delicacies. So it will be a celebration of excellence, from wines to glass art products, to which everyone is invited to take part.
